The library is an even more beautiful place to be this term with our new future focused furniture! The idea of the new furniture is to promote collaboration among students and for them to be able to rearrange it to suit the task at hand. Come on in and check it out.
I will be teaching geography across the school this term. The topics are as follows:
Early Stage 1 - Where We Live
Stage 1 - Around the World
Stage 2 - Natural Environments
Stage 3 - World Events, Festivals and Celebrations
Cross-stage classes will be supported/extended as required.
We will celebrate Book Week from 13-15th August. The theme is 'Find Your Treasure'. We will host a book fair and will be receiving a visit from Kate and Jol Temple - two fabulous authors who write hilarious books for children of all ages. We are also running a poster competition to advertise the book fair. The winners will have their posters displayed around the school and will win a voucher to spend at the book fair. Winners will be announced soon! We are also having a costume parade at 2pm on Wednesday 15th August. The more the merrier so parents, families and community members come along!
Feel free to check out my library blog where I share information about what our students are learning in the library, as well as useful links for parents. You can have a read at https://rpslibrary233008980.wordpress.com/
Feel free to come in and say hello anytime!
