The library is an even more beautiful place to be this term with our new future focused furniture! The idea of the new furniture is to promote collaboration among students and for them to be able to rearrange it to suit the task at hand. Come on in and check it out.
I will be teaching history across the school this term. The topics are as follows:
Early Stage 1 - When We Were Babies
Stage 1 - Families Past and Present
Stage 2 - First Contacts - The First Fleet
Stage 3 - Australia as a Nation - Civics and Citizenship
Cross-stage classes will be supported/extended as required.
I will be getting organised for Book Week this term, which we will celebrate from 13-17th August. The theme is 'Find Your Treasure'. We will host a book fair and will be receiving a visit from Kate and Jol Temple - two fabulous authors who write hilarious books for children of all ages. We are also running a poster competition to advertise the book fair. The winners will have their posters displayed around the school and will win a voucher to spend at the book fair, so get designing and bring them to the library!
Feel free to check out my library blog where I share information about what our students are learning in the library, as well as useful links for parents. You can have a read at https://rpslibrary233008980.wordpress.com/
Feel free to come in and say hello anytime!
