Premier's Reading Challenge

The Premier's Reading Challenge finishes at midnight on Friday 31st August. There is still time to complete it but don't wait too long! Don't forget to log into the website with your Department of Education username and password to record your books. This must be done in order to get your certificate. If you need help recording your books online please ask Mrs Rhodes. 31st August is also the cut-off date to donate to our Dymocks Book Bonus site. Education Week 2018 - Today's schools creating tomorrow's world

The future of education will be showcased in NSW public schools from August 6 – 10 as students, teachers and parents across the state celebrate Education Week 2018. Education Week kicks off on Monday, August 6, with a simultaneous launch at Parramatta and Kiama public schools livestreamed on YouTube so all government schools and their communities can join in. Book Week 13th-15th August

We are celebrating Book Week from Monday 13th- Wednesday 15th August (the week before the official CBCA Book Week due to Stage 3 Canberra excursion). A book fair will be hosted in the library before and after school (8.30-9.10am and 3.10-3.50pm). We will be visited by Kate and Jol Temple, two very talented children's authors on Monday 13th and all students are invited to attend a session. The cost for the visit is $5 per student. New uniform policy for NSW public schools

A new uniform policy has been introduced for NSW public schools, which for the first time include the option for girls to wear shorts and pants. The Premier, Gladys Berejiklian, and the Minister for Education, Rob Stokes, announced the new "clear and concise" policy today at Condell Park Public School in Sydney. The 16 teams selected to compete in the inaugural Game Changer Challenge in Education Week have been announced. Book Week 2018

The theme for Book Week 2018 is 'Find your Treasure'. We will be celebrating Book Week from 13th - 17th August. We will be hosting a book fair and having a visit from some inspiring authors as well as lots of other fun activities to celebrate our love of reading. A poster design competition will be held and the winning poster will be displayed around the school to advertise our book fair. The winning designer will receive a voucher to spend at the fair. 2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions.
